BETA TEST THE CREW FIN AOUT

OK, j’ai commencé à jouer THE CREW BETA a partir d’hier (le 27).
Et je ne suis pas seul sur le forum.

Messieurs, mesdames, vos impressions ?

PS : je crois que la beta sera fini le samedi à 15h (en France) = samedi 05h (a.m.) PT time (pas encore confirmé par Ubi) et non pas vendredi à 24h !

First impressions by Blubber :
Mind that I’ve only played for a few hours, which is in fact way too short, so these are only FIRST impressions and may change later.

1) graphics were a bit weird and warped at first, but are now quite allright (after switching to low settings although I have a very performant PC). It is typical for PC games that it is difficult to optimize graphics. I think graphics in the final version will be even better (a.o. Ubi promises 60 fps in the final version, whereas it is now 30 fps).
2) The Crew is MUCH better than Drive San Fransisco (which was, for the record, not a bad game)
3) Very important : DRIVING DYNAMICS (= the way cars behave on the road) were quite good, which is extremely important. (I think driving dynamics will be excellent once you can drive Ferrarri’s and Lamborghini’s, but I am not quite there yet 😉
4) The map is HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE, very, very huge !!
5) Very few bugs so far.
6) Driving is quite challenging, even at the beginning

Conclusion:
So far, The Crew was fun and exciting, clearly one of the best racing games as of lately. However, first city (Detroit) was a bit dull (the environment), but the further you progress, the more beautiful it becomes. I hope the fun level rises to the level of Test Drive Unlimited 1, which I found to be the best racing game ever (so far).

Quel est ta configuration blubber ?

Je te soupçonne d’avoir une carte graphique ATI / AMD. Dans ce cas supprime le Vsynch dans les options graphiques. (et même si tu possèdes une nvidia essaie).

En supprimant Vsync j’ai pu jouer de façon totalement fluide en mode « élevé’ (par contre ça saccade en ultra).

Ma configuration :
i5 2400
8go de ram
carte graphique HD6850 1go de ram
Windows 8.1
Que des disques mécaniques

Euh, je ne sais pas, je dois vérifier. i7 en tout cas, 8gb oui, nvidia. Je vais essayer de supprimer Vsync.
